Shakermaker Promotions is owned and run by professional DJ Gary Choppen. Gary first got the buzz for DJing at the tender age of 6 years old when he attended a Disco at a venue in Basingstoke, Hampshire. Gary was fascinated by the colourful Disco lights and knew at that early age that it was what he wanted to do. It was 3 years later at the age of 9 years old when he first got on the decks to help out at the school Disco and played a few records which went down really well.
After leaving school, joining a band, making records and touring around the UK & Europe, it wasn't until late 1988 that Gary finally got the chance to DJ properly. He started gaining experience playing in various nightclubs around the south of england and did this for many years before joining an entertainments company in 1996 where he would start life as a Mobile DJ. Working as a full time DJ gave Gary excellent experience in providing Mobile Discos for Private & Corporate entertainment covering all occasions.
Shakermaker Promotions was founded by Gary in February 2005 and since then it has grown into a well known and respected business that provides quality Disco Entertainment throughout Hampshire, Berkshire & Surrey. Shakermaker Promotions have a number of regular customers and are recommended by a number of venues.
Our aim is to provide a High Quality personal service at a very competitive price. We treat EVERY booking with the same commitment and personal attention. It isn't just about turning up and playing a few songs. To us, it is about the whole service that we provide. From the very first point of contact, we will help as much as we can and will give help and advice using our experience. As we are a full time business, it means that we can concentrate 100% on giving the best possible service. We will always try to meet our customers in advance of their function to find out what their expectations are and also go through specific music requests and timings.
