Hi Gary, Here is some feedback for you. Apologies that it's late but we have only just returned from our honeymoon. We only considered three DJs, one who my Dad had used previously was very stereo typical and we decided we didn’t want. One whose website was not great and whose contact details were not up to date, and shakermaker. The decision in the end came down to websites to start with and we loved the professional quality of shakermaker. Once we had made our decision we only spoke with Shakermaker. Thank you so much for making our wedding reception so special. The personal approach and openness you showed to us in both the pre-event meeting and on the day was very much appreciated and made it feel like you really cared about our day, and that was obviously important to us. experiences of DJs at events, I wasn't
sure
what to expect when we came across Gary's 'Shakermaker'
DJing service. But from the start, Gary's service was really friendly
and helpful and he couldn't do more to make sure we got what we wanted
for our particular event (daughter's 16th birthday party.) He had the
range of music they chose beforehand but he also included some songs
that us older members requested, to enjoy here and there too. It's not just that Gary really knows his music and has just about any track you'd like from any range of different styles but he's also just such an honest and open guy who does everything with that rare combination of professional integrity and warm friendliness, making him a real pleasure to deal with. Gary did everything he said he would; interacted with the venue owners beforehand, to make sure they were happy with the technical side of things so that we didn't have yet one more thing to deal with. He set the equipment up and tested sound levels etc, several hours early to make sure it would all go smoothly later. He was prompt and the great sound system was perfect: not too loud or too quiet for the venue size.The disco lights, lasers and dry ice effects made the party atmosphere more interesting and exciting and Gary himself was great at interacting with the youngsters (and oldsters) when it was needed but also allowing the music to play uninterrupted, without the constant chat some DJ's think is needed, when needed. I think Gary is great; a real treasure among DJs. I'd certainly recommend him most highly to anyone needing a DJ for any sort of event because he's highly competent and reliable, a really nice guy - and very good at his job. website. We booked Gary from Shakermaker Promotions for our wedding in early summer 2008. After hearing you dj-ing at the various nights around town and realising you did private functions you were the first company I called. I thought you may be out of our price range but was pleasantly suprised by how competitive you were. Right from that 1st phone call you inspired confidence, I was genuinely excited when I got off the phone from you! After you came round for that first meeting our minds were at ease that the entertainment for evening was in safe hands, everything you said made sense and not just becasue we appreciated similar music; your experience and down to earth approach was apparent from the start. On the actual day, everything went better than we'd hoped. The set up looked great, the lights were amazing. Your tunes managed to persuade virtually everybody enjoying the sunshine out on the terrace, to come inside to dance. I don't think I've been to a wedding where so many people stayed on the dancefloor for so long after the first dance; very clever selecting of tunes. Since our wedding, so many people have commented that it was the best wedding they'd been to and we attribute much of the day's success to your dj-ing. Thank you! Hello Gary, Many thanks for helping to make my 30th a cracking one. There were no complaints from anyone about the evening what so ever. The music was exactly what I had expected and everyone was also happy with the choices. I think the oldies were happy that there was not too much thumping going on. The lights were good, I know the space was a little tight and small, and I think you accomodated for this well. All work leading up to the evening was excellent, in that you wanted to make sure that the evening went to my plans. I did not find you pushy or lax in any contacts made between us, and your costings were very reasonable. I will certainly recommend your services to anyone considering a DJ in the future. Hi Gary, well it was great, fab sound system (a friend actually commented on the sound of the music coming out of your speakers!) and the music was superb. So many people came up to me and said they felt as if they were 20 again! A big thank you for "holding my hand" the leading up to the event and for listening and acting on my ideas for the music. Other people commented on how it was good to be able to hear the music without a DJ talking over it all the time!! Well done and thank you, thank you, thank you.............
