Booking Details
All agreements of the booking itself are found on the contract. Both the customer and company must approve any changes of any of the details that have been made to the contract. The DJ (s) will require time for the installation and dismantling of the equipment. We will always try to be as quick as possible but 45 minutes to 1 hour is usually necessary depending on how easy access to the venue is and also how big the set up is. Both the customer and company should also offer assurances that no previous bookings exist with other companies which could affect the booking with Shakermaker Promotions. You. the customer will receive 2 copies of the booking form. 1 copy should be signed and returned to us and the other copy will be signed by us and should be retained by yourselves.
Payments
Unless otherwise stated a deposit must be made to secure the date and booking. This is generally returned with the signed booking form. The outstanding balance should be paid 7 days before the function date or on the date itself before the function begins. If additional time is required for the function (over and above the agreements made on the contract / booking form), the fee for the extra performance time must be agreed by both the company and customer and payment should be made on the date of the function. A standard charge of £50.00 per additional 30 minutes should be agreed by both parties.
Cancellations
In the event of the customer wishing to cancel the function, the cancellation fee is 100% of the total is the cancellation is made within the 28 Day cancellation period. The cancellation fee is 50% of the total if the function is cancelled outside of the 28 Day cancellation period. If, for any reason the function is cancelled by the company, any payments made including the deposit will be refunded as soon as possible.
Conduct
The customer should ensure that the audience and anyone other than the DJ (s) conduct themselves in a proper manner. Shakermaker Promotions will not be held responsible for any actions, other than actions of representatives of the company. Shakermaker Promotions will conduct themselves in a professional manner throughout their attendance at the venue, and will respond to the customers requests (unless in breach of laws), with reference to volume, positioning of equipment, and any other reasonable requests. It is our aim to ensure that our customers get exactly what they want with reference to music requests etc.
Security & Damages
The customer will be held responsible for any theft or damage to the company equipment which has been caused by anyone other than members of the company during the duration of the function. Signing the contract confirms that you understand that you are liable for any damages to any equipment as stated above. The company will not be held responsible for any damages made to the venue that may have been caused by the customer or guests of the customer.
Health & Safety
It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the venue complies with all of the Health & Safety issues. Shakermaker Promotions will ensure that all company equipment fully complies with the relevant Health & Safety legislation regarding equipment and personnel. Copies of the company Public Liability Insurance and PAT (Safety) Test certficates can be supplied to the customer and venue on request.
Venues
Shakermaker Promotions will not be liable for any breaches of byelaws , or conditions under which the venue is hired, leased or entrusted to the customer. The customer will ensure that the appropriate licenses (as required by law), are in force at the venue at the time of the function., and therefore the company can not be liable in any way. The customer should inform the company of any obstacles, stairs, lifts etc that could delay the setting up of the equipment.
